Hiding the window equipment AC

When you live in a apartment with a window equipment AC, you can’t help but look at it & feel “that sure is an eye sore.” Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of pros to having a window equipment AC, however for example, our energy bills are below average each month because the window equipment A/C doesn’t take up too much energy to operate, but when we are not home, there is no need to cool the apartment so we turn the window equipment A/C off for most of the day.

When we are condo on the weekends & at night, we often only use the window equipment A/C in the living room & the living room, if it is a truly sizzling day.

For the most part, having a window equipment A/C in a small apartment in a sizzling region is fine, then there’s nothing that I feel like I am missing from having a central heating & cooling system, then i like being able to control the amount of energy we use on a quarterly basis. The biggest downfall of the window equipment A/C is the way that it looks. I am constantly trying to subtly hide the window equipment A/C with a curtain or a piece of art that can be really moved around. I don’t know why the window equipment A/C has to be so ugly, but it ruins the theme in any room. With some attention to detail & a little creativity, you cover that ugly window equipment A/C for when you’re not using it or having people over.
