When I know people are coming over, I will turn the A/C on for a few hours before guests arrive. I have lived with window component A/C for most of my life, so I am used to the ugly appliance. They absolutely are absolutely ugly to look at. I don’t mind looking at it because I know that it saves me a lot of money on weekly bills each month. Periodically, I wish that I could just set the thermostat as well as not worry about it anymore.
